The absolute beauty of a documentary session is this: it freezes time in your family's history. Let's face it, time is fleeting. It's literally gone in the blink of an eye. Even though we know this, we inevitably get caught up in the day to day grind of life, and suddenly, without warning it's a year later...or 5 years later...or...well, you get the idea.
Yes, capturing milestones in our lives is important. But our stories, our family's stories, are made up of so much more than birthdays and graduations. Our stories live in our smallest of our moments--the way Jonny crinkles his nose when he is concentrating or the way Suzie sets up all of her stuffies to play "school." It's the way your husband and your daughter have tea on Tuesday mornings....EVERY Tuesday. It's the moment when everybody crawls into bed together on Saturday mornings for "Saturday snuggles."
These moments are the lifeblood and bedrock of this crazy, amazing thing we call our family and make us completely and superbly different from every other family that exists.
Our authentic lives are art and should be celebrated as such.
Documentary sessions are a virtually stress free way to capture these moments--no worries about getting everyone "ready" and in the car on time to get to the location, only to worry about Jonny running in the mud or Suzie having a meltdown pre-pictures. Instead, you get to stay in the comfort of your own home and have me come to you. There is no pressure of being "on" for the camera. I simply become a fly on the wall observer to your life, while you do your normal day to day routines.
Documentary sessions are available in 4 or 8 hour sessions and begin at $1290.
